It’s probably NOT what you think ).
We could probably name a million different things right?!
Everyone is, after all, unique.
But - for the sake of time, simplicity and sanity, we’re going to focus on just 5.
Yes - each and every employee has 5 fundamental, core needs.
They are:
To know where they are heading (Vision)
To know how they contribute towards success (Goal)
To know how they are doing and how to keep growing (Feedback & Coaching)
To have their efforts acknowledged (Recognition & Reward)
To know how, when and where they can get help (Support)
And yes - it is possible to meet the needs of every individual within your team 💡
And when you do, guess what you end up with?
A high-performing, highly fulfilled team that you can be so proud of 🥂
Tell me a leader that doesn’t want that, and I’ll tell them to get out of their job…fast!
But only when you understand what each “need” actually means.
As well as what it means to them.
I want to delve into these in more detail, along with sharing some practical tips on meeting these needs more consistently.

And here’s something to consider in the meantime. Can you easily and clearly answer the following questions:
🔆Why does your company exist? (Purpose)
🔆What is your company’s Vision?
🔆How do the purpose and vision get used to drive performance?
Now answer these questions:
🔆Would everyone in your organisation say the same thing?
🔆How inspiring is this Vision out of 7?
🔆Does it make you want to get out of bed in the morning? Yes or No.
